About Rosedale
Experience the beauty and elegance of Rosedale Golf and Country Club the moment you pass through the 24-hour manned gatehouse and travel down the signature boulevard lined with 80-foot tall pine and oak trees.
Legend has it that a distinguished gentleman originally owned the area now known as Rosedale who dreamed of building his family a grand estate. He wanted guests to be in awe from the moment they started down the road to his estate and planned a majestic cathedral-like entryway covered in trees. While the estate was never built, he did plant the seeds that have grown into the 80-foot pines and oaks now adorning Rosedale's main boulevard.
In 1989 Robert Hunt discovered and purchased the original 335 acres that would become Rosedale Golf and Country Club in Bradenton, Florida. With over 40-years of experience in developing, building, selling and buying, the distinguished Hunt group knew that it wanted to preserve the essence of the tree lined boulevard and incorporate it into Rosedale's design aesthetics.
Rosedale Developments, Inc., part of the esteemed Hunt Group owns and developed the Rosedale Golf and Country Club. Recognizing the Sarasota / Bradenton area as a cultural and attractive location for future homebuyers, it was their goal to build an abundant recreational community while maintaining as much of the natural environment as possible. They poured over ecological studies and worked hand in hand with developers, land planners, engineers and landscape architects to ensure that the natural beauty of the land was protected. Rosedale Developments, Inc.'s commitment to protecting the environment for today and future generations, led to the designation of more than half of Rosedale's acreage being maintained for recreational open space and permanent nature and wildlife preserves.
Rosedale began development in 1993 building luxury homes in the master planned community. The original 335 acres has grown to over 800 acres and currently there are 663 maintenance-free and single-family homes located within the community.
Rosedale Golf and Country Club has plans for 300 new homes to begin construction in the future. These homes will be a mixture of maintenance-free and single-family homes. The construction and design will continue to exemplify Rosedale Developments, Inc.'s quality, luxurious lifestyle and preservation of the environment.
